Cloisonné brooch

It is the oldest enamelling technique: its name comes from the French "cloison" which means "cell, compartment or cavity".
After drawing subject contours on the plate is fixed above it  wires or thin metal strips. Then is stretched the enamel in the alveoli which were formed.

Enamels with that technique are used as normal oil colors and the metal surface as if it were a canvas.

Grisaia

On black base is applied layer by layer the white color. It fuse with the black pigments making gray tonality until arrive to the maximum white point.

The Champlevé It is a very old technique.

Giubileo 2015

Roma extraordinary giubileo commemoration. It focuses on the issue of mercy.
Forehand is represents an enluminure on Maria Merciful while protects her faithful in a "S" frame made by two fish (Christ symbol) and backhand have some enluminure  decoration and the Saint Door alludes to open and some rays get out.
Design and iconography is based on Francesco Pope words about the extraordinary giubileo and his meaning.

"The five Italian excellence"
For honoring my country and the pleasure to receive that important event I thought to dedicate that medal design to the five most important treasure the Italian land can give us.
Starting at the bottom
Pebbles way, a path to take together.
Ears of corn, the base of Italian nourishment.
Hive cells, the gold nectar and life symbol.
Olive oil, the italian food base.
Weaving of a basket, represent the italian handcraft and the tradition

  

Architecture tibute medal design

Piet Blom was a Dutch architect, belonging to the current of structuralism. His idea of architecture revolves on how it can improve the environment and the concept of living so I chose to represent him with the most famous european project , and the most significant project of his architectural philosophy, the cubic houses. He imagined ideally by the same architect as the set of "trees" in a forest.

Wolf dream medal design.
That medal is inspired about native american culture. Dream to be a wolf represent the humanity deep meaning. Leave a sign on passage with a dirty paws represent the process of going on and be incisive in real life. The dreamcatcher is a positive symbol about dream meaning and learning through it.

  Italians art decoration art project.
Tribute to the history and the magnificent enluminure scribes art.
Scribes dedicated their life to getting beautiful and precious books becoming  the pioneers of modern illustration.

The project was developed in vector and shades of gray for engraving with milling machine.
